A year-end review of revisions to the Colorado Rules of Professional Conduct concerning advertising and contingent fee rules and a refresher on the conflicts that may arise out of a lawyer’s personal relationship with opposing counsel and interactions with prospective clients. Topics will include:

  • Conflicts arising from a lawyer’s personal relationship with opposing counsel and how to handle them;
  • Prospective clients, and how to manage potential disqualifying conflicts;
  • Recent changes to the “series 7” (advertising) Colorado Rules of Professional Conflicts; and
