"BEST DEPOSITION PRACTICES FROM THE PERSPECTIVE
OF THE COURT REPORTER"

JUDY M. STEVENS, Freelance Court Reporter
Veritext Legal Solutions

BONNIE CARPENTER, Freelance Court Reporter
Veritext Legal Solutions

MARY J. GEORGE, Federal Official Court Reporter
U.S. District Court for the District of Colorado

12:00 - 1:15 p.m.

WEBINAR

Judy Stevens and Bonnie Carpenter, Freelance Court Reporters with Veritext Legal Solutions, will present ways to conduct a clearer, more effective deposition from their eyes (and ears!).  Mary George, Official Court Reporter for the U.S. District Court, will explore many of those same topics but from the perspective of an official reporter providing services within the courtroom and chambers. Court reporters hear it all and they’ll explore the good, the bad, and the ugly while offering tips for improving upon the good, and deleting the bad and the ugly!  The experience from the combined many years of reporting between these three women will enlighten even the most experienced litigator on ways to streamline the deposition process with opening instructions that can set the tone of the entire process, ways to mark exhibits more efficiently, and how to navigate through the new remote deposition procedures.   They’ll even (happily) share ideas on how to make the reporter’s job easier!
