A panel of criminal and civil practitioners will discuss best practices and ethical considerations for using investigators in criminal and civil litigation. The panel will discuss, among other things, the specific ethics rules and opinions that apply to the use of investigators, best practices for using investigators effectively and ethically, and pitfalls to avoid when using an investigator to help your case. A current private investigator (and former government investigator) will also share how these rules and best practices play out on the ground from the perspective of the investigator. This panel will offer critical information—and real life stories—to help you maximize your use of investigators in a fair and ethical way.
